Auto Additive delivers first set of spare parts made using AM
This is another step towards implementing 3D printing in mass production of end-use parts
Auto Additive has announced the shipment of the first order of weldable headlight tabs to Headlights.com. This achievement highlights the revolutionary potential of 3D printing technology in the automotive repair industry. The process was made possible by the latest advancements in 3D printing and the development of OEM-compatible polypropylene material.
The weldable headlight tabs comply with global GM GMW18647 standards, ensuring the durability and compatibility required for high-quality automotive repairs. This allows for achieving higher standards than current practices, such as using epoxies, welding rods, putties, or low-quality printed parts.
The production of these parts was made possible through collaboration with HP and Forecast 3D, whose expertise was crucial to this success.
Auto Additive specializes in the production of OEM-quality automotive parts. The company collaborates with key players in the 3D printing sector, offering high-quality components for both the aftermarket and original manufacturers. With an advanced digital supply chain, Auto Additive brings the future of automotive repairs and customization, providing innovative solutions for a diverse range of clients—from car enthusiasts to large manufacturers.
Further milestones and innovations are already planned, with the market launch of these parts scheduled for November 2024.
