The biggest ones were Collibrium, DMG Mori, EOS and SLM Solutions. 3DS and Stratasys were just behind them. But I'm writing it from my memory...

And when GE Additive was formed as a new company, they bragged that they would sell 10,000 machines in 10 years! Unobtainium?

The problem of Colibrium is non-attractive machine portfolio. They positioned them as high end product, especially for aerospace. But most user just need good enough and economical machines. Personally, gap between high end and good enough is negligible. User needs operator friendly machine(including software)but machine itself designed such a way for the complexity.

This time Colibrium but I don’t think others are safe.(including biggest market share one as they lost direction too). There are many reasons to cause layoff(only their management do not know)and I am so sad to see this as my ex colleague still working there.
