Their biggest asset is the money they got from the stock market some time ago (well over a billion dollars). Their proprietary technologies are very interesting, but very niche and are not able to generate any reasonable revenue.
Therefore, the money they get from the stock market is used for further acquisitions of other companies, in order to generate any significant revenue at all.
