Atomic Layer of the Day:
Guys, this is one before last newsletter of the year. Today on LinkedIn, I published a big roundup of articles from that platform, so naturally, a similar summary has to appear here.
But regardless of that, I have a big favor to ask! Together with my wife, Anna, we are working on two new features that we’d like to launch at the start of the new year. We need your opinion as our audience. Does this even make sense?
So, if you have a moment, please answer the two questions below—or leave a comment if you have any thoughts on the matter.
In the meantime, here’s the top ten most-read articles from The 3D Printing Journal. This newsletter is still gaining momentum, so I’m confident that record-breaking posts will become the norm by this time next year. Since mid-July, I’ve published 414 posts (including this one), so next year we’ll be celebrating the first thousand!

So that was the top ten for 2024. Now let's get to the questions...
The Poll
We want to create two completely new sections. The first one will cover all possible product news in the AM space as it emerges on the market. This is a very ambitious project that will require significant effort, but we believe it will be both useful and unique. Here's how it will work:
Once a week, you’ll receive an email (closer to the weekend).
The email will include all product launches from that week. I mean all of them—ranging from €3 million metal 3D printers (perhaps once a quarter) to new filaments and resins for affordable Chinese desktop 3D printers. Accessories will be included too—basically, everything.
There will also be links to view or purchase these products.
So, the first question is:
The second section is a weekly showcase of companies from a specific country or region of the world. Once a week, you’ll receive an email featuring around 10 companies. The companies will be selected by us and by users on LinkedIn (where we’ll announce this in advance). Here's how it will work:
We announce that the upcoming week will be, for example, “Italian Week.”
On LinkedIn and here, we’ll invite suggestions for companies to feature in the “Italian” article.
Ultimately, there will be a map of the country or region with marked companies and their descriptions. We’re still deciding how detailed the data will be.
Once a week, you’ll receive an email showcasing the most interesting companies from the selected country or region.
While countries like the Netherlands, Germany, or the aforementioned Italy might not surprise you much, receiving a list of the most interesting companies from places like Slovakia, Argentina, or South Korea could prove quite useful.
For the USA, we plan to divide the features by state, and for Germany, by region (Länder).
So, the second question is:
