Atomic Layer of the Day:
Guys, I won’t do what everyone else is doing—posting a templated message churned out by ChatGPT, paired with a holiday image generated on Grok (because it handles faces better). As always, I’ll write something honest and sincere.
This year has been incredibly tough for me. Someday, I’ll write about it, but I’m still not ready yet. The first half of the year felt like a highway to hell, culminating in a complete restart. Since July, when The 3D Printing Journal was born, things have started to improve. I’m still far from where I once was, but at least now I’m heading toward the light.
As I said, one day I’ll tell the whole story.
For now, I just want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you—readers, commenters, and newsletter subscribers. I am deeply, truly grateful for your reactions, comments, and private messages. I don’t keep track—it doesn’t really matter—but I can’t recall two consecutive days without someone messaging me on LinkedIn, saying they appreciate what I write and are eager for more.
When I reply, “Thank you, I appreciate it,” I know it might sound like a generic, impersonal phrase. But it’s not. I genuinely appreciate it and am deeply thankful. Every message like that means a lot to me and motivates me to work harder and better.
The last six months have been an amazing, incredible ride. Everything is happening suddenly and spontaneously. No planning. No looking back. Just forward.
But this wouldn’t have been possible without the help and support of a few people. Michael Molitch-Hou, , and Federico Sher—you probably don’t realize how much you’ve helped me. Thank you. One day, I’ll repay your kindness.
A huge thank you to my dear friends—Jarosław Kozak, Michał Wojnarski, and Paweł Spychała—who helped me survive my darkest hour. I’ll try, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to repay you. But I’ll try.
Special shoutouts to my AM friends: Dorota Kawa, Tomasz Garniec, Michał Żołądek, Grzegorz Sworobowicz, Paweł Wołoszyn, Eryk Wąsek, Greg Gracki, Jakub Abramczyk, Kacper Suchomski, Bogdan Kaczmarek, Filippos Tourlomousis, Rouven Jost, Davide Malnati, Umberto Bisotti, Valdas Kasmauskis, Philippe Boichut, Jan Homola, Enrico Gallino, Mark Winker, Johannes Lutz, Jonathan Jaglom, Gennady Shafir, Christoph Lindner, John Oney, Guillaume de Calan, Daniel Huamani, Zach Burhop, Kaustubha Kulkarni, Mattias Kristiansson, Nick Sonnentag, and of course Tuan Tranpham.
Thanks and appreciation for their patience to my GREENFILL3D guys—Jan Moskalew and Michal Glita.
And last but not least, a big thank you to my lovely partner in crime—Anna Ślusarczyk.
Unfortunately, there are also a few people whose actions put me six months ago in a position where I had to restart everything. My dear friends, don’t worry. I’ll make sure to repay you as well—when the silence return...
For now, I’ll decorate these holiday wishes with this Christmas card. This isn’t AI. It’s Pieter Bruegel the Elder and his masterpiece “Adoration of the Kings” from 1562.
